What exactly does LayerAdapt do?
It takes a website that was built by hand, where every change means editing code, and turns it into one you manage from simple screens. LayerAdapt reads every page, works out what is content (texts, pictures, services, team members, blog posts, menus, page titles) and moves that content into a database made for your site. Your pages then read from that database, so a change you make in LayerAdapt shows on your website without anyone opening a file.
Do I need to rebuild my website or move my hosting?
No. Your website stays where it is, at the same address, with the same design. You either upload a copy of it as a ZIP or let LayerAdapt sign in to your hosting with your cPanel or FTP details. Nothing about how your website looks is changed.
Which websites work?
Websites built with HTML or PHP are fully supported, including PHP sites that keep their content in arrays, settings files and include files. If your website is built another way, mention it when you join and we will check it before your set-up starts.
What does "dynamic" mean here?
A static website has its words and pictures written into the code. A dynamic one reads them from a database each time a page opens. LayerAdapt makes that switch for you: it creates the tables your content needs (for example Services, Blog posts or Team) and connects your pages to them, while keeping a local copy on your hosting so your website keeps working even if LayerAdapt is unreachable.
What does the AI do?
After LayerAdapt has read your website, one button asks the AI to study the whole site the way a developer would. It decides which repeated items should become their own tables, names them clearly, and makes sure nothing that should be editable is left behind. It runs once, when you ask, and every change it proposes is checked so your pages still look exactly the same.
Is my website safe?
LayerAdapt keeps a backup before every publish, so any change can be undone. It never edits login, payment, admin or settings files, never runs your website's code on its servers, and encrypts your hosting password. Every change is recorded with who made it and when.
What is early access, and what does it cost?
We are opening LayerAdapt to the first 250 businesses before the public launch. There is no payment during early access. We approve businesses one at a time so each one gets proper help getting set up. Before launch we will show you the plans, and you decide whether to continue.
How soon will I be let in?
We approve businesses in the order they join, as quickly as we can set each one up properly. When it is your turn you get an email with a link to set your password and open your workspace.
What happens to my website if I stop using LayerAdapt?
It keeps working. A website prepared by LayerAdapt stays live, and a copy of its latest content stays on your own hosting.
